When an over-width is given in Mayflower patterns, this number is adjusted to the fit that the designer intended the design to have. The stated bust width also includes the range of motion.

The Agnes cardigan has a cool design with large checks, buttons and a high collar. The cardigan is knitted in a nice and warm quality, which also makes the design suitable as a transitional jacket.
The cardigan is worked in stockinette stitch using the intarsia technique in two colors, where each color field is worked with its own separate ball of yarn. The back and the two fronts are worked from the bottom up, and the pieces are joined at the shoulders. In the armholes, stitches are picked up for the sleeves, which are also worked in check. The sleeves are finished with ribbing, as are the button placket and the bottom edge. At the neck, pick up stitches for a ribbed collar.
The Agnes cardigan is worked in Mayflower Santiago, which is a wonderfully soft and warm yarn quality spun from wool, alpaca and polyamide. The cardigan is therefore eminently soft and delicious and will feel great against the skin. Especially on cold days or evenings, this cardigan will really come into its own and feel great to wear as an extra warm layer.
