Easy Care Tweed belongs to the same series as Easy Care, and the two yarns share length and Knitting gauge, but the Tweed variant is also entirely its own. It is softer and has a beautiful mottled color depth and elegant tweed effect.

For the tweed version, we have carefully selected the best base colors from the Easy Care series and combined them with flecks in atmospheric natural colors. Together, the fibers create the most beautiful color play in your finished knitting or crocheting. The yarn is machine washable and is lovely for both clothing and interior.

Mayflower Easy Care Tweed is a lovely yarn quality, which is part of the Easy Care series. It is produced at an Italian spinning mill, just like the rest of the series. The yarn is similar to Mayflower Easy Care in terms of both yardage and Knitting gauge, but Easy Care Tweed stands out by having the most beautiful tweed speckles in viscose.

The yarn is spun from South American merino wool of high quality and has really good properties when it comes to clothing. The organic fiber is naturally warm, just like wool fibers have air pockets that have an insulating effect. Wool also has really good breathability. A knitted sweater in Easy Care Tweed will therefore keep you warm on a cold day, but your body will still be able to release the heat.

The sweater will therefore always feel nice to wear. Easy Care Tweed is also not very thick, as the recommended needle size is 3-3½ mm.

The color range is inspired by the colors you may already know from Easy Care. Here we have borrowed the most beautiful base colors, which have then been combined with tweed speckles in lovely natural shades.

The soft and airy structure of the yarn makes it easy to knit with and gives a beautiful overall impression, where the stitches lay nicely and evenly. This property makes Easy Care Tweed a pleasure to knit with, and as an extra bonus, the yarn is also easy to maintain. The yarn can be washed by gentle machine wash. Please note that unlike our classic Easy Care series, the tweed variants do not tolerate tumble drying.

With Easy Care Tweed, you can knit or crochet the most beautiful clothing such as sweaters, hats, and scarves, where the speckles give the finished result the beautiful, classic tweed look. Since the yarn's Knitting gauge and yardage match Easy Care, you can even use all Easy Care patterns if you need extra inspiration for your next project with Easy Care Tweed.
