Easy Care Classic Tweed is a durable wool blend with the delicate play of colors that occurs when soft merino wool is spun with beautiful tweed skeins in natural shades. It is produced in Italy and belongs to the Easy Care family, from which the basic colors are also taken.

The fibers of the yarn take color differently, creating a slightly mottled effect that highlights the natural charm of tweed yarn. It matches "regular" Classic in gauge, which is why our patterns can now be made with or without a tweed effect.

Mayflower Easy Care Classic Tweed is a lovely addition to our popular Easy Care range. The yarn quality has the same linear length and knitting tension as Easy Care Classic, but with the most beautiful tweed nubs in viscose.

You're sure to love Easy Care Classic Tweed if you already like our Easy Care Classic, as the tweed variant is even softer. In both yarn qualities you will find the most delicious merino wool, which provides a special softness that is combined with the other good properties of wool fibers.

Easy Care Classic Tweed gets its beautiful play of colors from the merino wool, which is blended with viscose tweed. The yarn's fibers receive color in different ways, giving a super fine expression.

The color selection is inspired by some of the colors you may already know from Easy Care Classic. We've carefully selected the most inspiring base colors and combined them with the most evocative shades to create just the right play of colors.

Easy Care Classic Tweed has an airy structure that makes the yarn a pleasure to knit with. The stitches lay down nicely and evenly, giving you a beautiful overall impression and a great knitting experience. Easy Care Classic Tweed is also easy to maintain, it is superwash treated and machine washable. However, please note that the tweed version is not tumble dryable, unlike our standard Easy Care range.
