Montreal is a luxurious, hand-dyed yarn in 100% pure merino wool. The yarn is super soft and chunky, making it ideal for cozy knitting and crochet on 7-8 mm needles. Montreal is OEKO-Tex certified and comes in large, delicious 100 gram balls. 

 

The colors speak for themselves. As Montreal is hand-dyed, the yarn has some uniquely beautiful colors that give the finished result a beautiful expression. Part of the charm of hand-dyed yarn is that each skein is unique and the colors are distributed differently. Therefore, be aware that there may be variations in the colors, even within the same batch.

The delicious, rich volume and play of colors make Montreal suitable for e.g. stockinette stitch and simple designs, where the beautiful colors are the focus instead.The glossy merino wool has a fantastic softness and weight, and the volume of the yarn makes it ideal for soft and rich garments to be worn on cold days of the year, such as a warm and cozy sweater. Suitable for both knitting and crochet, the yarn's rich texture makes it especially important to make a knitting or crochet swatch and wash it according to the instructions before starting your project.

The hand-dyed Montreal comes in a stunning range of colors. Colors 1-10 are multi-colored, where several different shades work together in a unique flow. Colors 11-14 are 'semi-solid' and not quite solid, where the beautiful depth of color is created with just one color. We have left the creamy white color 15 undyed, making it suitable for hand dyeing if you want to experiment with yarn dyeing yourself.

With hand-dyed yarns, there can be large color differences between batches, so make sure you have enough yarn for your knitting or crochet project.samecolorway. To avoid abrupt transitions between skeins, we recommend that you create a smoother transition from one skein to the next.Therefore, when you are nearing the end of your ball of yarn, you can change the new ball a little earlier. For example, knit/crochet 1-2 rounds with the new ball, then with the old ball, switch back to the new ball and continue like this until your old ball is used up. This doesn't remove the difference, but it smooths out the transition between the skeins a little more.

Montreal is spun from South American merino wool, which is mulesing-free and great for smaller projects like hats, scarves, mittens, etc. You can also combine the colors if you knit a semi-solid sweater with multi-colored stripes.
