Mayflower Premium Athena has an exciting fiber composition, which gives a completely unique play of colors and a rustic look.

Athena is produced and spun in Peru from soft baby alpaca, lovely merino wool, linen, and the finest cotton fibers: Pima. All are lovely and pure fibers, which in combination create an exceptional yarn with a beautiful and rustic expression. Athena is a wonderful all-year yarn, which can be used for both knitting and crocheting.

Athena comes in 20 beautiful and carefully coordinated colors. Some of them are spun with uncolored cotton, which provides a unique contrast to the yarn's dyed fibers.

Athena is beautiful to use in simple garter or stockinette stitch, which highlights the beautiful shades and color depth. Weave knitting or texture patterns will also stand out beautifully when knitted with Athena, which is ideal for, for example, a cardigan, vest, or sweater.
