Mayflower 1 Class is a good and classic sock yarn, spun from a traditional blend of 75% superwash-treated wool and 25% polyamide. This fiber composition is completely optimal for sock yarn, as both fibers have good properties. The South American, mulesing-free wool is of particularly good quality and feels comfortable against the skin.

1 Class is spun for Mayflower in Italy, where the spinning mill has many decades of experience in the production of sock yarn, with a focus on high quality throughout the production. The yarn is also Oeko-tex certified.

There are many advantages to choosing 1 Class when you need to knit socks. The wool makes the socks delightfully warm, while the polyamide makes them durable. Both properties are very important when it comes to socks. Socks are one of the garments that are subjected to the most wear, which the yarn quality must withstand, just as you must also be able to keep warm in your socks.
