Mayflower Taormina is an incredibly beautiful yarn with a fiber composition that makes the yarn both soft and durable, just as Taormina has impressive color combinations. Taormina is spun at an Italian spinning mill with, among other things, the softest and finest alpaca fibers. Alpaca wool is warm and breathable, and the yarn's content of alpaca means that Taormina is wonderfully delightful to use for, for example, a warm sweater or shawl.

Just as impressive as Taormina's softness is, equally impressive are the yarn's colors. The beautiful color combinations provide an exceptional play of colors with a marvelous depth, making Taormina enormously expressive.

As something truly special, the colors in Taormina appear as one long color shift in a unique pattern that alternates between stripes in bright shades and broader sections with a more subdued play of colors. All colors are carefully selected and coordinated so that each skein achieves the perfect level of contrast. There is room for many different colors in each skein of Taormina, and the different shades play incredibly beautifully against each other and complement each other well. Therefore, you get a blouse, top, or scarf in either knitting or crocheting that will fit well with the rest of your wardrobe, as the finished result will automatically contain several different colors.

The yarn consists of several different coordinated colors and is therefore extremely exciting to knit or crochet with. You will find it difficult to put the yarn down before you reach the next color. You just have to see how the colors mix and shift. Therefore, the yarn is also extra suitable for slightly larger projects such as simple sweaters, long scarves, and ponchos, where it is the colors that are allowed to be in focus, rather than, for example, cable patterns or the like. The large 200 g skeins have a length of 700 m, and therefore you often only need 2 skeins for a sweater, for example.

Taormina is also perfect for knitted or crocheted interior items such as sofa cushions or perhaps a lovely blanket.
