Mayflower Amalfi is spun from a blend of long, soft cotton fibers accompanied by bamboo viscose. Two fibers that together make Amalfi a truly wonderful, glossy yarn quality.

Amalfi is available in a lovely mix of muted shades and strong colors, but all have a delightful color play with a semi-gloss finish, due to the combination of the two fiber types. The yarn is very suitable for, among other things, blouses, tops, or cardigans. It also has a good weight, which gives it a beautiful drape in both knitting and crocheting.

Mayflower Amalfi is a soft and luxurious all-year yarn, produced in Italy at a reputable spinning mill with a long history of quality yarns. The yarn is spun from a lovely, soft blend of strong cotton and glossy bamboo viscose.

Cotton is one of the most used textile fibers and is thus used in many yarn qualities because cotton has many good properties. Cotton is especially known for its good breathability, high durability, and firm structure. In short, pure cotton is wonderful to work with, and in Amalfi, the cotton is accompanied by lovely bamboo viscose, which takes the yarn to a whole new level.

The viscose in Amalfi is made from bamboo fibers, which are an easily renewable, natural resource as bamboo is a fast-growing material. In Amalfi, you can clearly sense the content of bamboo viscose. The yarn has a completely unique, smooth softness, typically associated with silk. This property is highlighted by its appearance, as Amalfi has a semi-glossy surface that almost gives the yarn a pearlescent effect. Whether you choose to knit or crochet, you will achieve a beautiful structure, and the yarn's organic fibers will ensure optimal comfort.

Both cotton and bamboo viscose are breathable and moisture-absorbing fibers. Therefore, Amalfi is the perfect choice for soft clothing such as soft blouses, cute tops, and lovely cardigans, which will feel delightful to wear as they do not become too warm. Amalfis high breathability makes the yarn very suitable for especially summer clothing. The yarn is durable and, not least, incredibly soft, which are fantastic properties for soft knitted or crocheted clothing that the body should be able to breathe in.

The shiny viscose gives Amalfi a glossy sheen, and in combination with the cotton, it gives the colors extra depth and beauty.
