Mayflower Amalfi is a soft and delicious year-round yarn produced in Italy at a reputable spinning mill with a long history of quality yarn. The yarn is spun from a lovely, soft blend of strong cotton and lustrous bamboo viscose.

Cotton is one of the most widely used textile fibers and is used in many yarn qualities, as cotton has many beneficial properties. In particular, cotton is known for its breathability, high durability and firm structure. In short, pure cotton is wonderful to work with, and in Amalfi, cotton has been joined by beautiful bamboo viscose, taking the yarn to a whole new level.

The viscose in Amalfi is made from bamboo fiber, which is an easily renewable, natural resource as bamboo is a fast-growing material. In Amalfi, you can clearly sense the bamboo viscose content. The yarn has a unique, smooth softness that is typically associated with silk. This property is accentuated by its appearance, as Amalfi has a semi-gloss surface that almost gives the yarn a pearlescent effect. Whether you choose to knit or crochet, you will get a beautiful texture and the yarn's organic fibers will ensure optimal comfort.

Both cotton and bamboo viscose are breathable and moisture-absorbing fibers.
