Cassandra is spun on a core of thin, strong mulberry silk in the company of the softest baby alpaca and extra fine merino wool. The yarn quality is very thin, fine and light, and the brushed wool fibers give Cassandra a wonderful, soft sheen. The unmatched fiber composition and airy structure make Cassandra the ideal companion yarn.

Peruvian baby alpaca is the absolute finest and softest of alpaca fibers. It is also a very warm and extremely durable fiber. The merino wool in Cassandra is also special because it is extra fine. The fiber composition with a silk weave makes Cassandra as delicious, soft and exclusive as it sounds.

If you knit or crochet with Cassandra on its own, the result is uniquely light and airy, and when used with wool, for example, the finished result has a beautiful, fluffy look with extra softness. In most cases, Cassandra can be used as a substitute for traditional mohair yarn, where it is both softer and finer than mohair, and sheds less than mohair.

Cassandra is available in 30 different muted colors, and the brushed fibers give the colors a beautiful sheen and extra color depth. Pure luxury for the quality-conscious knitter and crocheter.
