The Mayflower size guide is based on chest width measured directly on the body.
When an over-width is given in Mayflower patterns, this number is adjusted to the fit that the designer intended the design to have. The stated bust width also includes the range of motion.

Berlin scarf - Cashmere Style Pattern
The Berlin scarf is a really popular Mayflower-Pattern, and in this design, the scarf is knitted with Premium Cashmere.
The scarf has contrasts with alternating texture patterns, bordered by horizontal stitches that mark texture changes and an i-cord edge, which is made along the way. Here, the scarf is in a version knitted with the most exclusive yarn - Premium Cashmere, which is extremely soft and insulates up to three times as much as any wool, because there is more air in cashmere fibers. We recommend making a knitting sample and washing it before measuring your Knitting gauge with this exclusive yarn. The scarf can be hand-washed with wool detergent.
