Smartstix knitting needles are made of aluminum, which makes them both strong and durable. The ends are tapered, making them easily catch the stitches. The needles have stripes that you can actually use for measuring. Each stripe is 2 cm long, so you can continuously measure how far you have come with your knitting project and how much you have left. The wires can also be used for measuring, as they have markings every 2 cm.

The lightweight aluminum needles are delightful to work with and feel warm in the hands, and the smooth surface allows the stitches to glide easily. The needles also have their own color depending on thickness, making it easy to see which needles belong together, just as the wires also have different colors depending on their length.

When you need to change the wire or needle, use the included tightening key. The desired wire and needle are screwed together. The key is inserted into the small hole at the end of the wire. With one hand, hold the wire, and with the other hand, turn the key. When you tighten, you ensure that the needle and wire are securely connected, and when the needle needs to be loosened from the wire again, use the key to loosen it.
