The Sam Group, which owns the Kolding-based wholesale company Sam Partner, today announces the acquisition of the Brønderslev-based company Vest Tex A/S, which in January 2026 was subject to bankruptcy proceedings.
The acquisition of the company behind the yarn and textile brand “Mayflower” takes effect immediately.
CEO of Sam Partner, Michael Duus, states:
“Vest Tex A/S and the ‘Mayflower’ brand have, for a number of years, demonstrated their potential through expansion and positive results. In recent years, developments have not fully lived up to that potential. When the opportunity arose to acquire the company and its properties, we entered into a dialogue with the trustee, and I am pleased that we have now reached a sound agreement,” says Michael Duus, adding:
“We look forward to beginning our collaboration with the organization and to further developing the company, the brand, and the product range, which fit well into our strategy of offering strong products and concepts that are fundamental to the way we conduct business. An exciting future awaits us.”
The trustee in bankruptcy, attorney Hans Peter Storvang, states:
“I am extremely pleased on behalf of both the company and its employees. Their efforts throughout this process have truly been exceptional, and I have nothing but praise for their dedication and attitude.”

All things considered, we have found a very good solution with a new owner who can further develop the company and realize the synergies within the group’s other assets.”
The acquisition takes effect immediately.
