Can be used for

Mayflower Venezia consists of soft wool fibers, which are held together by a fine-meshed tube. The cotton tube consists of cotton, which is 100% organic. Venezia is specially produced for Mayflower in Italy and is a yarn that we are very proud of.

Is animal welfare and sustainable initiatives important to you? Venezia is produced with 100% organic cotton. This means, among other things, that the cotton is grown without chemicals and is gently handpicked only when it is ripe. In addition, all coloring and treatment processes are carried out in an environmentally friendly manner with strict requirements for, among other things, wastewater management, transport, waste sorting, and not least for good working conditions.

Venezia is wonderful to knit with, but it is also excellent for crocheting, where it may be advantageous to use yarn with a slightly firmer structure. The airiness of the yarn also means that the crocheted project becomes softer. The yarn gives you a beautiful and even result with uniform stitches.

Venezia has a naturally full volume. You especially notice this when you work with the yarn, as it retains its airiness when you crochet or knit with it. Feel free to use needles and hooks on the larger side so it doesn't become too dense.

The content of extra fine merino means that the yarn will sometimes have excess wool fibers, which is unavoidable for all extra fine fibers such as cashmere, yak, merino wool, etc. Gently remove the excess fibers either with a wool comb or with a lint shaver.

You can use Venezia for all kinds of projects, but we would especially recommend sweaters, cardigans, and vests, which should be usable all year round. Also, try to accompany Venezia with Super Kid Silk, which makes it extra delicious and adds the coveted, glossy sheen from mohair.
