Description

1 Class is Mayflower's good, classic sock yarn. It is produced in Italy at a spinning mill that is highly specialized in sock yarn. The South American quality wool is combined with polyamide, achieving the perfect balance between durability and warmth. The yarn is certified according to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100.

With 1 Class, you get an incomparable sock yarn spun from extra-long wool fibers. This ensures that your homemade socks are durable and long-lasting. 1 Class is produced with mulesing-free wool that is superwash-treated, so the socks can easily be machine washed.

Mayflower 1 Class is a good and classic sock yarn, spun from a traditional blend of 75% superwash-treated wool and 25% polyamide. This fiber composition is completely optimal for sock yarn, as both fibers have good properties. The South American, mulesing-free wool is of particularly good quality and feels comfortable against the skin.

1 Class is spun for Mayflower in Italy, where the spinning mill has many decades of experience in the production of sock yarn, with a focus on high quality throughout the production.

There are many advantages to choosing 1 Class when you need to knit socks. The wool makes the socks delightfully warm, while the polyamide makes them durable. Both properties are very important when it comes to socks. Socks are one of the garments that are subjected to the most wear, which the yarn quality must withstand, just as you must also be able to keep warm in your socks. Therefore, you should always choose high-quality sock yarn so you get warm and homemade socks that can last as long as possible. 1 Class is spun from long fibers, which also helps increase durability.

Mayflower 1 Class is available in many beautiful shades, generally characterized by their beautiful color depth. In the same series, we also have two additional yarn qualities. If you want sock yarn with tweed flecks, we have Mayflower 1 Class Tweed, which has tweed flecks in both multicolors and natural shades. And Mayflower 1 Class Cashmere is a fantastic soft sock yarn with the most delightful cashmere.
