The Mayflower size guide is based on chest width measured directly on the body.
When an over-width is given in Mayflower patterns, this number is adjusted to the fit that the designer intended the design to have. The stated bust width also includes the range of motion.

The cutest baby cardigan with ruffles.
The sweater is worked in garter stitch across from sleeve to sleeve. Finally, cast on stitches at the neck edge to create a garter stitch neck edge. On the front, ruffles are crocheted directly onto the sweater for a beautiful and feminine effect.
NOTE: The original design is worked in Mayflower Cotton 1, which has unfortunately been discontinued. As a replacement, we recommend Mayflower Alliance Fine. Always remember to make a swatch before you start your project to make sure that the gauge, and thus the finished measurements, are correct. Also, be aware that you will get a different color expression than in the picture. You can always click 'Choose another color' and find the color you like the most.
