When an over-width is given in Mayflower patterns, this number is adjusted to the fit that the designer intended the design to have. The stated bust width also includes the range of motion.

This pretty girl's sweater is incredibly cute with its delicate lace pattern that resembles fern branches. The pattern covers the front of the sweater, while the edges of the sweater are finished with garter stitch.
The sweater is worked from the top down with raglan increases, which minimizes the need for shaping and gives a great fit.
The look of the sweater can be varied greatly through the choice of colors, and it can, for example, also become a nice Christmas sweater if knitted in a nice Christmas red color.
NOTE: The original design is knitted in Mayflower Cotton 1, which has unfortunately been discontinued. As a replacement, we recommend Mayflower Alliance Fine. Always remember to make a swatch before you start your project to make sure that the gauge, and thus the finished measurements, are correct. Also, be aware that you will get a different color expression than in the picture. You can always click 'Choose another color' and find the color you like the most.
