The Mayflower size guide is based on chest width measured directly on the body.
When an over-width is given in Mayflower patterns, this number is adjusted to the fit that the designer intended the design to have. The stated bust width also includes the range of motion.

Berlin Scarf Pattern
Soft and triangular scarf with a narrow design. Therefore, it is not as wide as a shawl, but with the wide middle, it wraps perfectly around the neck, and the narrow ends make it feel less bulky and cumbersome around the neck.
The great design of the Berlin scarf doesn't stop here. It is knitted with 6 different techniques and patterns, making the detailed scarf really interesting to look at. The scarf is beautifully finished with an i-cord edge. Each pattern is separated by a row with vertical stitches, for which we have made a video guide that you can find here.
Additionally, the Berlin scarf is also really nice to have around the neck, as it is knitted in Mayflower London Merino Fine. A really fine and warm yarn spun from pure merino wool in a wonderfully soft quality. The scarf is therefore warm and lovely and feels nice against the skin.
