The Mayflower size guide is based on chest width measured directly on the body.
When an over-width is given in Mayflower patterns, this number is adjusted to the fit that the designer intended the design to have. The stated bust width also includes the range of motion.

Soft and triangular scarf with a narrow design. It is therefore not as wide as a shawl, but with the wide center it wraps perfectly around the neck and the narrow ends make it feel less big and bulky around the neck.
The good design of the Berlin scarf doesn't stop there. It's knitted with 6 different techniques and patterns that make this detailed scarf really interesting to look at. The scarf is finished with an i-cord edge. Each pattern is divided by a row of vertical stitches, for which we have made a video guide, which you can find here here.
In addition, the Berlin scarf is also really nice to wear around the neck, as it is knitted in Mayflower London Merino Fine. A really fine and warm yarn spun from pure merino wool in a wonderfully soft quality. The scarf is therefore warm and cozy and feels great against the skin.
