Taormina Shade is spun from the same fibers and in exactly the same way as our popular, color-changing yarn, Taormina. The colors also originate from here, so it is obvious to combine the two yarns, for example, with solid-colored edges or stripes.

Taormina Shade is produced in Italy at a renowned spinning mill that places great emphasis on quality. The yarn is composed of, among other things, the softest alpaca fibers from Peru. Alpaca is a durable and breathable fiber, which is both warmer and softer than sheep's wool. In other words, alpaca wool contributes to giving Taormina Shade a truly fantastic woolly softness that feels wonderful against your skin. The yarn is also really lovely to work with and can be used for both knitted and crocheted projects.

The delicious and fluffy fiber composition with, among other things, soft alpaca and durable polyamide makes Taormina Shade the obvious choice for soft, warm clothing, such as a sweater or cardigan, as well as accessories like hats, neck warmers, and super soft scarves. The yarn is single-ply and therefore has a naturally varying thickness.

Taormina Shade is available in 26 unique colors, all of which have a beautiful, variegated color play. The darker the color, the more pronounced the color play and the depth in the yarn's shades. Simple stockinette or garter stitch in Taormina Shade will therefore automatically gain more life due to the color play and the yarn's variegated expression, just as it is also beautiful in pattern knitting.

Perhaps a solid-colored version of your favorite design in Taormina – or just a version with solid-colored sleeves or edges? Play with the two variants and break Taormina's fine pattern repeat with a contrasting color. The result will in any case have a fantastic softness and the finest color expression.
