The Mayflower size guide is based on chest width measured directly on the body.
When an over-width is given in Mayflower patterns, this number is adjusted to the fit that the designer intended the design to have. The stated bust width also includes the range of motion.

A simple knitted dress with a small turtleneck and slits on both sides. Easy to wear for both everyday and party wear, as it can be worn with heels or more rugged boots.
The dress is knitted in Mayflower Easy Care, which is a relatively thin yarn quality in pure new wool. This means you get a dress with comfortable breathability, so you won't get too hot in the dress.
The pattern itself is quite simple to follow. The dress is knitted from the bottom up and worked in the round until the armholes. Then finish the back and front separately while working increases for the wing sleeves.
