LillianSlipover Pattern
Light, feminine, and absolutely wonderfully soft. Words that very well describe Maria Møller's design, LillianSlipover. The slipover or vest is knitted in a super airy yarn and, not least, in a beautiful textured pattern and is perfect for wearing over, for example, a blouse, dress, or t-shirt.
The vest is knitted from the bottom up to the armholes, after which the front and back pieces are knitted separately. The vest has a beautiful V-neck with a ribbed edge, as well as ribbed edges at the armholes and at the bottom of the vest. The bottom ribbed edge has a slit on the side and is longer at the back than the front, which is an extra fine detail.
The lovely textured pattern in LillianSlipover is made with faux cables, which are easier to make than one might think, as it is knitted without a cable needle. The pattern is repeated in Maria's other Lillian designs, which are equally delightful: LillianSweater and LillianCardigan.
LillianSlipover is knitted with a whole 3 threads of the soft and warm mohair yarn Mayflower Super Kid Silk. The fluffy yarn gets a very special fullness when multiple threads are knitted together, and the result is a fantastically soft and comfortable vest that you will be happy with. With three threads, you also have all the options to combine different colors and play with the color expression.
