LillianSweater Pattern
Absolutely exquisite soft sweater in a fantastic pattern of faux cables, made with only a few simple knitting techniques. The LillianSweater is designed by influencer Maria Møller.
The LillianSweater is knitted from the top down. First, the front and back pieces are knitted separately back and forth, but after the armholes, the work is joined, and it is knitted in the round. At the bottom, ribbing is knitted with a slit on each side, where the ribbing is knitted longer on the back piece.
At the armholes, stitches stitches are cast on for the sleeves, and similarly, stitches stitches are cast on in the neckline for a ribbed edge, which is folded over for more volume and a nice finish.
The LillianSweater is knitted with a total of three threads Mayflower Super kid Silk. The combination of multiple threads in the soft, fluffy mohair yarn gives a sweater with an absolutely fantastic comfortable texture, and the yarn feels delightful against the skin. Multiple threads provide good volume, but since the yarn is so light, the finished LillianSweater is still pleasantly light and airy.
