The Liva cardigan is truly a masterpiece with its super beautiful lace pattern on the cardigan's sleeves. The sleeves with the beautiful details give the otherwise simple cardigan a twist and create a timeless design.

The Nordic approach to design often finds inspiration in nature, and it's not without reason. The lace pattern on the sleeves is easy to knit, but the effect is striking. The beautiful pattern gives earthy memories of the leaf structure on a plant, which is incredibly beautiful and yet very simple.

In this Pattern, one thread of Easy Care Tweed and one thread of Super Kid Silk have been knitted. Two yarn qualities that together provide a luxurious blend of wool, mohair, and silk, resulting in a perfectly soft finish with a fine texture.

Since knitting is done with two different yarn qualities, the finished knit will always have a slightly mottled effect. The effect can either be enhanced or subdued depending on the color difference of the two yarn qualities, but there will always be a slight color play, which fits perfectly with a cardigan like this.

The cardigan is knitted with raglan sleeves, which minimizes the amount of assembly. Furthermore, the pattern is not challenging. Especially not if you also have experience with knitting lace patterns.
