The Dandelion Cardigan has a beautiful leaf-like lace pattern on the yoke. The sweater is knitted top-down and is an easy project to get started on if you are knitting a lovely cardigan for a child aged 3-24 months. 

The lace pattern is simple and suitable for both boys and girls, and the sweater is knitted in stockinette stitch with increases in the yoke and ribbed edges. The front edges are worked on at the end and buttonholes are made on the right side so you can add small buttons later.

The Dandelion Cardigan is knitted in one of our finest and softest wool yarns in 100% merino wool, Mayflower London Merino Fine. The fine structure of the yarn, which is recommended for 3 mm needles, makes it ideal for baby patterns like this cardigan. The comfortable yarn is springy and elastic, making it easy to move around in, and it retains both elasticity and softness after washing. London Merino Fine is even machine washable at 30 degrees and is available in 40 different colors. So you'll easily find colors to suit the recipient, whether the Dandelion Cardigan is for a boy or a girl.
