When an over-width is given in Mayflower patterns, this number is adjusted to the fit that the designer intended the design to have. The stated bust width also includes the range of motion.

The Novice Sweater is worked top-down in stockinette stitch with increases on the yoke and ribbed edges. The sweater has a lovely, soft and cozy look, as it is knitted in Mayflower Santiago – a fluffy and lightweight alpaca blend.
