Sweet cardigan with a fine, checkered texture pattern, which can be knitted for children aged 3-24 months.
'The Old Street Lamp' cardigan is knitted from the bottom up. Start with a rib edge and then continue in the checkered texture pattern. At the armholes, the work is divided into front and back pieces, and each side is completed separately and bound off. The sleeves are also knitted from the bottom up and bound off. The shoulders are sewn together, and the sleeves are attached at the armholes.
In the front edges, stitches are picked up for ribbed button bands, as well as stitches picked up in the neck for a ribbed neckline. The cardigan is finished with small buttons.
The cardigan becomes really soft and lovely as it is knitted in Mayflower London Merino Fine, which is a wonderful wool yarn spun from extra fine merino wool. The cardigan is therefore incredibly comfortable and feels lovely against the delicate and fine baby skin. The wool is breathable and warm, so the child can wear the cardigan most of the year.
