Christine Cardigan is knitted top down with beautiful saddle shoulders and an interesting construction. The shoulder pieces are knitted first, after which stitches stitches are picked up for the front and back pieces respectively. Finally, the sleeves and collars are knitted on, so the cardigan is completely without assembly.
The shoulders are knitted with a beautiful, simple pattern with ridges. This pattern continues all the way down the sleeves and gives the cardigan a cohesive appearance, with attention to detail. As an extra bonus, it is also quite easy to knit, even though the effect is so beautiful.
Christine Cardigan is knitted with Mayflower Birmingham, which mainly consists of alpaca and wool. Additionally, the yarn has the most beautiful tweed speckles, which give the yarn plenty of personality and charm. The beautiful color play from the tweed fits perfectly with the simple Christine Cardigan, without taking attention away from the cardigan's beautiful details.
The pattern is relatively simple to knit, and the different construction means that it is also an exciting project for experienced knitters.
