Knitted stripes are a great and simple way to give a sweater lots of personality. We've taken advantage of this in this gorgeous sweater, knitted with beautiful block stripes in two strands Mayflower Easy Care Classic. 

The sweater's block stripes have a charming retro look with a modern twist. The entire sweater is knitted in two strands Mayflower Easy Care Classic, but a silver thread is also used for the light purple stripes. The silver thread is used in the first and last rounds of the light purple stripes, while the intermediate rounds are worked exclusively with two strands of Easy Care Classic in light purple. 

Easy Care Classic is a medium weight yarn in 100% pure wool with a running length of 106 meters per 50 grams. This makes this sweater a quick and easy knitting project, as it is knitted with two strands on needles 7 and 8.

The sweater in the picture is knitted in cerise, orange and light purple, but you can also add your own touch to the sweater by choosing other colors. You can also knit with two strands of different colors to create a nice mottled color effect.  

NOTE: The original design is made in Mayflower Easy Care Classic color 246. Unfortunately, this color has been discontinued. As a replacement, we recommend color 227, which is similar to the discontinued color. Just be aware that you will get a different result than in the picture. You can choose your own colors by clicking 'Choose another color', which unfolds the entire color card.
