Martha cardigan
Light and airy cardigan with an A-line cut, knitted from the bottom up in a simple textured pattern on 4 mm needles.
The striped color pattern emerges all by itself, as the cardigan is knitted in Mayflower Taormina, which has one long pattern repeat in a mix of narrow and wide stripes in coordinated colors. It is also delightful to knit with Taormina because it is fun to see how the colors play together, and it is also a lovely yarn to have between your hands.
Taormina is a truly luxurious alpaca blend, and your Martha cardigan therefore feels truly wonderful to throw over your shoulders. It is comfortably warm without becoming too hot. Since each skein contains many different colors, your cardigan can be paired with several different items from your wardrobe, making it difficult to find an occasion or outfit where you can't wear your Martha cardigan.
