Easy Care Classic is a popular 4-ply wool yarn that has been a staple in Mayflower's range for years. It consists of 100% pure merino wool and is a durable wool yarn with a lovely softness.

Easy Care Classic has a good, medium thickness for needle size 4, which makes it popular for use all year round. It is also ideal to use with a companion thread, such as silk mohair, if you want extra volume in your knitting. The entire Easy Care series is perfect for the busy family, as the yarn is machine washable. The yarn is certified according to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100.

Mayflower Easy Care Classic is a lovely wool yarn that is perfect for the busy family. The yarn is spun in Italy from high-quality South American merino wool, ensuring that the yarn is soft yet durable.

The comfortable wool is a popular choice in many families as even the smallest family members can use it. Furthermore, the wool is superwash-treated, which means that Easy Care Classic can be both machine washed and tumble dried. These are desirable properties when knitting for small children.

Wool has a natural comfort due to the natural properties of the fibers. Wool fibers contain small air pockets that have an insulating effect, and at the same time, wool also has good natural breathability, allowing moisture to evaporate from the body. Therefore, many people use Easy Care Classic in several months of the year, as the yarn has a thickness that makes it suitable for both mild and cool days.

Easy Care Classic is also part of Mayflower's classic Easy Care series. You can find the Easy Care series in three different thicknesses, all spun from the same good wool, with only the thickness of the yarn making the difference. The classic version has a good thickness right in the middle: not too thin, not too thick, and perfect for a 4 mm needle/hook.

We have a wide selection of different Patterns with Easy Care Classic, and the yarn's many applications are reflected in the patterns. In many Patterns, Easy Care Classic is used alone, but it is also wonderful in combination as a companion thread – for example, Mayflower Super Kid Silk.

The color range is broad, covering most needs for pastels, natural tones, and vibrant colors. The wide selection also makes Easy Care Classic perfect for multi-colored knitting, as it is easy to create beautiful and creative color combinations. It is easy to knit evenly, making the yarn also a very good choice for fair-isle and other pattern knitting.
