Mayflower Premium Sock Wool Forest is a classic, soft, and durable sock yarn of extra good quality with outstanding, clear colors and a striped pattern in carefully coordinated color gradients.
Forest is part of the Sock Wool series with exclusive yarns, spun at an Italian spinning mill specialized in producing quality sock yarns with unique print patterns in clear colors. All the colors in the 'Forest' series have a continuous color gradation and a pattern report with special details that make the colors stand out clearly and give a beautiful pattern in the finished result. The durable and luxurious sock yarn is made from a blend of South American,
mulesing-free wool and polyamide. The wool from South America is of the highest quality due to its soft, long, and glossy fibers that are warm, breathable, and strong. Together with the polyamide content, the wool provides long-lasting socks that withstand everyday wear but also maintain their shape in the wash. The yarn is also superwash-treated and can be machine washed.
When you knit socks in Sock Wool, you only get identical socks if you start at
the same color change in the yarn, but even if you don't, the coordinated colors and
continuous pattern report ensure that they match as a pair because there is no
notable difference.
Premium Sock Wool is a completely classic sock yarn, but it can also be advantageously used for many other things that need to be warm and long-lasting, such as scarves, hats, and sweaters, or as a companion thread in other yarn projects.
