The light basic yarn Mayflower Duette is spun from fibers in various, coordinated shades, which gives colors with both play and beautiful depth. The yarn can therefore give even simple knitting or simple designs an exciting and expressive look.

Duette is ideal for everything from knitted clothing to crocheted interior. It is a lovely cotton blend that is both soft and durable. Duette can be machine washed.

Duette can even be used as an alternative in several of our existing designs. It has the same thickness as our classic Cotton 8/4, and both the fiber composition and Knitting gauge are very similar to Alliance Fine.

Duette is a really good basic yarn for needle size 3-3½ and has plenty of uses.

The soft cotton blend has a really beautiful color play, which can brighten up even the simplest design. The yarn is spun on fibers in different, coordinated colors, and the combination with varying shades gives the yarn a truly beautiful color depth. With just simple garter stitch and stockinette stitch, you get a really exciting and lively expression when you knit with Duette.

The soft fiber composition gives a light and lovely yarn, which feels nice against the skin. It also has good absorbency and is machine washable, as well as drying quickly again. The fiber composition makes Duette a good and strong yarn for soft clothing for both children and adults, as well as being usable for exciting interior projects.

Duette has the same good fiber composition as our well-known Alliance and Alliance Fine. Duette differs by being lighter and having a completely different color play. The gauge in Alliance Fine is very similar to Duette. Like our Cotton 8/4, Duette is also spun on 4 threads and has the same thickness as classic cotton yarn.

Duette can be used for the knitting and crochet designs that were originally made in yarns such as Cotton 8/4 and Alliance Fine. Or as a summery version of designs in thin wool, such as Easy Care or London Merino Fine. With the marled expression in Duette, the yarn can be a beautiful alternative. However, always remember to start with a knitting or crochet swatch to ensure you achieve the desired knitting or crochet gauge.

Duette comes in 25 beautiful colors, all of which have a lovely color depth.
