Construction:
The socks are knitted from the top down. First, stockinette stitch is knitted, and 2 holes are made for the drawstring. The work is folded down and knitted together to form the cuff through which the string will run. Then, the work is divided into a front and back, which are worked in pattern knitting. The heel is shaped by making short rows, and the foot is lengthened by continuing in pattern knitting. Decreases are made to create the toe shape. The work is finished with grafting. The drawstring is knitted in I-cord.

Sizes:
Newborn to approximately 18 months.

Length:
Can be knitted in lengths from approximately 9.5 to 13.5 cm.

Knitting gauge:
28 stitches x 36 rows on 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch.

Recommended needles:
2.5 mm needles.

Yarn suggestion:
1 strand of Mayflower 1 Class (50 g = 210 m) together with Mayflower Super Kid Silk (25 g = 195 m) or Filcolana Arwetta (50 g = 210 m) together with Filcolana Tilia (25 g = 210 m). 

Yarn amount:
50 g Mayflower 1 Class or Filcolana Arwetta.
25 g Mayflower Super Kid Silk or Filcolana Tilia (can be omitted).

Other materials:
Tapestry needle, stitch markers.
