Mayflower New Sky Light is spun in Italy at a renowned spinning mill with a focus on craftsmanship. Alpaca and wool are the yarn's primary fibers, ensuring breathability and comfort, while the polyamide content makes the yarn durable. The colors are unique. The fibers are dyed in a special way, which gives them a natural depth of color with a light and beautiful mottling.

Alpaca wool in particular is famous for its excellent properties, with alpaca fibers being even warmer than sheep's wool. At the same time, alpaca wool is also wonderfully light and airy, which can also be felt in New Sky Light. These properties are combined with regular wool, which adds more structure to the yarn. Both fibers are of course of the highest quality to make the yarn as soft as possible. The wool is mulesing-free and comes from South America, while the alpaca fibers come from Peru.

New Sky Light is incredibly long-lasting. You get 300 meters in a 50 g ball of yarn, so you don't need many balls of yarn for a sweater or a cardigan. This also says something about how light the yarn is, even though it has good volume.

You can use New Sky Light for many different projects, but it really comes into its own when used for clothing, shawls or accessories. Here you can really feel the unique qualities of the yarn, as you get a finished result that feels both light and warm at the same time.

NOTE! New Sky Light is the improved version of the previous yarn quality in our range, which was called Mayflower Sky Light.
