Construction:
This cardigan is constructed with a saddle shoulder, where stitches is first cast on for the back piece, after which it is knitted back and forth while the shoulders and neckline are shaped through increases. Once the yoke is finished, stitches is set aside for the sleeves. The body is finished with a rib edge and Italian bind-off. The sleeve stitches are put back on the needle and knitted in the pearl rib pattern, while decreases are made along the way and finished with a rib edge and Italian bind-off. Finally, stitches is picked up along the entire opening and a double-knitted button band with buttonholes is knitted.
