The exclusive quality Mayflower New Sky is an airy and light yarn, spun from, among other things, soft alpaca and high-quality warm wool. Both alpaca and wool fibers provide a warm and breathable yarn, while the polyamide content holds the fibers together and makes the yarn durable.

Both alpaca and wool are wonderful, natural fibers that both warm and create good breathability for the skin, allowing your body to release heat. These good properties are the reason why alpaca and wool are the most dominant fibers in New Sky. The combination of both warmth and high breathability provides the best conditions for getting a hand-knitted sweater, which you will also find comfortable to wear and will continue to use afterward. And in fact, alpaca wool is even warmer than sheep wool.
