The Mayflower size guide is based on chest width measured directly on the body.
When an over-width is given in Mayflower patterns, this number is adjusted to the fit that the designer intended the design to have. The stated bust width also includes the range of motion.

Knit the scarf from tip to tip. It is knit in a pattern consisting of turned right stitches and wine stitches that are knit together.
