The Mayflower size guide is based on chest width measured directly on the body.
When an over-width is given in Mayflower patterns, this number is adjusted to the fit that the designer intended the design to have. The stated bust width also includes the range of motion.

Men's slipover knitted in Mayflower Easy Care Classic, which is 100% pure superwash treated wool. The slipover can therefore be machine washed and tumble dried. The wool slipover will keep you warm, but the breathability of the wool ensures that it doesn't get too hot.
The slipover has a cable in the middle and the rest is in stockinette stitch. There are ribbed edges at the neck, armholes and bottom. The slipover is worked from the bottom up.
