Knitting is surprisingly versatile, and you can achieve many beautiful effects if you master your knitting techniques. This blouse, for example, is designed with ruched stripes, created by knitting a relatively simple pattern of increases and decreases. 

The beautiful ruched stripes help shape the blouse and create structure. The stripes are also repeated on the blouse's sleeves, which are made in a balloon shape around the forearms. This gives the blouse a classic and feminine expression.

The blouse is knitted in Mayflower Easy Care, which is wool yarn with a yardage of 185 meters per 50 grams. Even though the blouse is knitted in wool yarn, you shouldn't be afraid to wear it in the summer months. Wool is perhaps famous for its warmth, but it can also have a cooling effect on warm days. This is partly due to wool's good breathability, which makes it easier for the body to cool itself down.

Strikkefasthed: 26 sts in garter stitch on needles size 2½ = 10 cm, 20 sts in stockinette stitch on needles size 4 = 10 cm, 23 sts in pattern with wrinkled stripes measure 10 cm in width in the garter stitch stripes. 4 rows in garter stitch on needles size 2½ and 10 rows in stockinette stitch on needles size 4 = 4 cm in height.
