Mayflower Premium Cashmere is one of the softest and finest yarns you will ever get your hands on. The ultra-soft yarn is spun from 100% cashmere fibers at a renowned Italian factory, which focuses on exclusive and pure fibers of high quality. The yarn is GRS-certified (Global Recycled Standard), as approximately 51% consists of recycled, pre-consumer cashmere from the mill's own production.

Be particularly aware that this quality is very delicate and fragile - both because the 49% new cashmere fibers are untreated, natural fibers, but also because 51% of the content in this quality is recycled cashmere fibers from the mill's internal production. Therefore, we recommend being particularly careful to treat the yarn extra gently when you cast on stitches. Once you have knitted a few rows, the yarn regains its strength.

Premium Cashmere is a yarn with an unparalleled softness. Cashmere is an incredibly soft, curly, and fine wool fiber. Even finer and softer than the already soft merino wool, making it both delightful to knit and crochet with - and wonderful to wear.

The luxurious yarn is great for small projects where not many skeins are needed, or for more exclusive projects where you want to use a yarn of a very special quality, such as for a beautiful scarf. Mayflower Premium Cashmere comes in 12 classic colors that are easy to combine.

Premium Cashmere is recommended for needles 3-3½ mm and can therefore be used for many different Patterns and both for knitting and crocheting. With a Knitting gauge of about 28 sts x 40 rows, Premium Cashmere can also be used for designs originally developed for, for example, Easy Care, Amadora, London Merino Fine, York, etc. Always remember to make a swatch to ensure you hit the right Knitting gauge.

Premium Cashmere can also be used for baby patterns, and the incredibly soft yarn will feel really nice against delicate baby skin. With a sweater, cardigan, bonnet, or baby blanket in Premium Cashmere, the baby will have the best of the best. Just be aware that the fine and somewhat delicate cashmere fiber only tolerates very gentle hand washing.
