Cardamom Sweater Junior Pattern
This sweater is constructed with a saddle shoulder, where stitches is first cast on for the back piece, after which it is knitted back and forth while the shoulders and neck opening are created through increases. Once the yoke is finished, stitches is set aside for the sleeves. The body is joined and completed on Circular Needle, allowing the length of the sweater to be adjusted. The sleeve stitches are put back on the needle and knitted in the seed stitch pattern, with decreases made along the way, finishing with a twisted rib edge and Italian bind-off. Finally, stitches is picked up in the neck opening, which is knitted in twisted rib, either finished with an Italian bind-off or sewn down as a double rib edge.
