Mayflower Easy Care Classic is a lovely wool yarn that is perfect for the busy family. The yarn is spun in Italy from high-quality South American merino wool, ensuring that the yarn is soft yet durable.

The comfortable wool is a popular choice in many families as even the smallest family members can use it. Furthermore, the wool is superwash-treated, which means that Easy Care Classic can be both machine washed and tumble dried. These are desirable properties when knitting for small children.

Wool has a natural comfort due to the natural properties of the fibers. Wool fibers contain small air pockets that have an insulating effect, and at the same time, wool also has good natural breathability, allowing moisture to evaporate from the body. Therefore, many people use Easy Care Classic in several months of the year, as the yarn has a thickness that makes it suitable for both mild and cool days.

Easy Care Classic is also part of Mayflower's classic Easy Care series. You can find the Easy Care series in three different thicknesses, all spun from the same good wool, with only the thickness of the yarn making the difference. The classic version has a good thickness right in the middle: not too thin, not too thick, and perfect for a 4 mm needle/hook.
