Easy Care is made from 100% pure new merino wool spun in Italy into a strong, classic 3-strand wool yarn of the highest quality. The fine wool yarn for needles 3-3½ is easy to knit and crochet evenly.

Easy Care is one of the classic Mayflower-yarns that have been a staple in the range for many years - and for good reason. The soft merino wool is machine washable and can be used for adults, children and baby knitting.

Easy Care is the thinnest quality in the range and is beautiful on its own, but is also perfect combined with e.g. a strand of Super Kid Silk.

Mayflower Easy Care consists of 100% pure new merino wool from South America. The yarn is spun for Mayflower in Italy into a good and strong three-strand wool yarn of excellent quality.

In general, wool is one of the most popular fibers for hand knitting and crochet yarns due to its excellent properties. Wool yarns like Easy Care have a natural insulating effect due to the air pockets in the wool fibers. At the same time, wool also has good breathability as it is an organic material. Wool yarn is especially suitable for the winter season, but because Easy Care is a relatively thin yarn, it is not too warm for a light summer sweater, for example.

Easy Care is available in a wide range of different colors, and the color spectrum includes everything from soft natural colors and delicate pastels to the stronger pops of color. The yarn can be used for much more than sweaters, hats and scarves. Beautiful cushions and blankets are also very popular to knit in a wool quality that is machine washable.

Easy Care is beautiful and even when knitting fair isle patterns or multi-color textured patterns, for example. Easy Care is a great yarn for size 3 needles, but it is also very suitable for knitting or crochet with a bobbin. Use it for example with our Mayflower Super Kid Silk, which consists of the softest mohair and silk. The combination will add extra shine and luxury to your finished project.

The Easy Care series has been part of Mayflower's range for many years and is one of our most popular yarns, which is also reflected in our many patterns developed for Easy Care. The soft merino wool can be used for adults, children and baby knitting. The wool is superwash-treated and can withstand both machine washing and tumble drying, which is especially useful for families who don't have much time to hand wash a knitted sweater. Just remember to always use wool detergent.

You can find Easy Care in three different thicknesses, of which Easy Care is the thinnest. All the yarns are spun from the same good wool, which is also mulesing-free merino, and only the thickness of the yarn makes a difference. This gives you the opportunity to use Easy Care in many different knitting and crochet patterns with a wide variety of gauges.
