Machine washable yarn

Be aware of washing the yarn according to the regulations on the banderole and on wool or gentle program, even if it is a yarn for machine wash. Most superwash-treated woolen yarns typically need to be washed at 40 degrees and you should always avoid using fabric softener. Some superwash yarn can be tumble dried, while other should be hung to dry.

Or you may risk that an otherwise fine sweater is not used at all for fear of making it dirty. Therefore, an advantage may be to search the yarn selection before starting a project and make some considerations.
