Mayflower 1 Class is a good and classic sock yarn, spun from a traditional blend of 75% superwash-treated wool and 25% polyamide. This fiber composition is completely optimal for sock yarn, as both fibers have good properties. The South American, mulesing-free wool is of particularly good quality and feels comfortable against the skin.

1 Class is spun for Mayflower in Italy, where the spinning mill has many decades of experience in the production of sock yarn, with a focus on high quality throughout the production. The yarn is also Oeko-tex certified.

There are many advantages to choosing 1 Class when you need to knit socks. The wool makes the socks delightfully warm, while the polyamide makes them durable. Both properties are very important when it comes to socks.
