The Mayflower size guide is based on chest width measured directly on the body.
When an over-width is given in Mayflower patterns, this number is adjusted to the fit that the designer intended the design to have. The stated bust width also includes the range of motion.

Cardigan with pleats and a lovely small lace pattern, which is interrupted by reverse stockinette stitches. It has a great fit and looks beautiful both with jeans and over a dress. The small pleats are a nice detail.
The model was originally designed for our sock yarn Mayflower 1 Class, but if you adhere to the gauge, you can also use Mayflower Easy Care or Mayflower Easy Care Tweed for it. With 1 Class, you get a warm and durable cardigan that is also breathable, making it very comfortable to wear.
The buttons in the picture are crocheted, and the pattern includes instructions for them, but you can of course use regular buttons as well.
