The sweater is knitted from the top down. First, stitches stitches are cast on for the neck, which is knitted in the round while making increases on the two shoulders. The front and back pieces are divided and knitted back and forth on the needle, separately. When the armholes reach the correct size, the front and back pieces are joined again for the body, which is knitted in the round. stitches stitches are picked up in the armholes, and the sleeves are knitted in the round, with decreases before the bind-off.
Note: The models in the pictures are not knitted in Mayflower Super Kid. But if you want a design with a mottled appearance with color changes, you can choose threads in different colors instead of knitting the design in a single color.
Sizes:
The sweater can be knitted in 8 different sizes, XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL), corresponding to a chest measurement of 75-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140). The sweater has a circumference of 110 (120) 128 (134) 136 (146) 152 (158) cm respectively. Before choosing which size to knit, we recommend measuring yourself over the chest or the widest part. The sweater is designed to be oversized and have a positive ease of about 30-40 cm for the smaller sizes and 20-30 cm for the larger sizes.
Example: If you measure 87 cm around the chest, we recommend knitting size S, which provides a positive ease of 33 cm.
