Mayflower BumbleBee Print is a combination of superwash treated wool, bamboo viscose and polyamide. The yarn is thicker than classic sock yarn, making it ideal for thick socks knitted on size 4 needles. You will need 2 balls of this thick yarn to knit a pair of socks up to approx. size 46 in stockinette stitch.

Normally, good sock yarn is a classic combination of wool and polyamide, but in BumbleBee Print we've added bamboo viscose. The viscose is made from bamboo fibers and has some amazing properties that make this sock yarn something special. Something you'll feel as soon as you put it in your hands or on your feet.

Bamboo is an amazing material that can be harvested every few months and requires no fertilizer. Pure bamboo viscose can feel almost like silk and in addition, bamboo is also said to have a natural antibacterial effect. In other words, the addition of bamboo viscose makes Bumblebee Print a wonderfully soft yarn. The socks are not only warm and durable, but also extremely comfortable. With the bamboo viscose content, it is important to hit the specified gauge and not knit too loosely if you want to be sure to achieve the specified size.

BumbleBee Print has the finest patterns that gradually emerge as you knit, making it fun to knit lots of socks. The patterns are different in the series and jump by five color numbers. In practical terms, this means that colors 1-5 have the same pattern, colors 6-10 have the same pattern, 11-15, 16-20, etc.

BumbleBee Print was created with the aim of making optimal sock yarn that is both soft and durable. They have succeeded in both, and the yarn has become so comfortable that it can easily be used for more than just knitted socks. The yarn is, of course, machine washable for easy maintenance.
