The sweater is knitted from the top down. First, cast on stitches for the neckline, which is worked in twisted rib and folded to create a double collar. Next, knit short rows to shape the neckline. The yoke is worked with raglan increases around 8 stitch markers. Once the yoke is complete, stitches are set aside for the sleeves. The body is knitted in the round and finished with a twisted rib edge, which is bound off using Italian bind-off. The sleeve stitches are then placed back on the needle and knitted straight down in a scallop pattern, with decreases made just before the ribbing to create a balloon effect. The sleeves are finished with twisted rib cuffs and Italian bind-offs.
