KnitPro FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can mine KnitPro Wires are used on all series?

All KnitPro Wire can be used across the series of replaceable round needles. So you can easily have e.g. a needle 3.00 in Karbonz and a needle 4.00 in Symfonie and use the same wire.

Mine KnitPro Knitting needles are broken - What are the rules in connection with complaints?

If you are unlucky that your Knit Pro Knitting needles breaks there is a 2 year complaint. This applies to manufacturing defects. Your complaint should be made to the dealer where you have purchased your KnitPro Knitting needles.

How do I mount my wire on my replaceable KnitPro knitting needles?

Wire on KnitPro Replaceable circular needles are mounted through a thread in the needle where they are screwed on. With the accompanying growth, they can be tightened by sticking it through the hole in the wire and turning around.

It is important that when mounting wire you stick to the metal piece on both wire and needle, so as not to twist in the needle.

What is the difference between short and long KnitPro needles?

Many of KnitPro The series are available in different needle lengths. This is to create a better knitting experience when knitting on circular needle.

The short needles can be used with a wire of 40cm - and thus used to knit sleeves, for example. The long needles cannot, which in turn is easier to hold on to.

What is the difference between fixed and replaceable round needles?

On the fixed round needles, the wire is stuck between the two needles where it can be changed to the second length. For example, if different needle sizes are to be used for your project, you can switch the needle without having to knit from one needle to another.

Are wooden or metal sticks best?

KnitPro Has a number of different series of sticks in different materials with talented properties and advantages. The wooden sticks are soft to hold as well as flexible and work especially well for woolen yarn. The metal sticks are more durable than wooden sticks. So both materials have its advantages and challenges. It is largely a matter of taste what you prefer, so it is impossible to give a clear recommendation.

What sticks are good if you suffer from rheumatoid arthritis?

KnitPro have made a few series of sticks that are extra good for people with rheumatoid arthritis. These series have square sticks where the grip is more comfortable.

This is available both in the series KnitPro Cubics and KnitPro Nova Cubics. However, we recommend KnitPro Cubics, as the wooden sticks are warmer to have in the hands than the brass sticks.

Why do mine become Nova Metal knitting needles yellow?

Nova Metal from KnitPro are knitting needles of galvanized brass. This means that after years of use, the galvanization can be worn so that the messing is oxidized.

Can you use two different sizes of sticks on replaceable round sticks?

You can use different sizes at each end of the wire. For example, if you knit tighter on the wrong side than on the right side (when knitting back and forth), you may want to go half the size up or down on one stick.
